Spanish is due to its expansion of the Spanish Empire the world's second most spoken languagene with about 350 millionen native and foreign speakers.

Spanish or Castilian is a Latin language that was influenced by the conquests of Visigoths. Articulation and voice structure were taken over by Visigothic. Also the occupation by the Moors brought Arabic words to the Spanish language but language structures did not changed.

Phonetical Spanish is orientates towards Latin, but posses some sounds with those it differentiates itself from other Roman languages.

Like in French there is existing no h-sound.

The Orthography of the Spanish language is phonetic, whereat two sounds do not exist in the Latin language. Those are the letter combinations „ll“ and „ch“. They are self-contained characters. The signs „ ñ “ and „ü“ express special Spanish sounds.

The grammatical structures are similar to Latin, is it can be seen on conjugation of verbs.

The frequently use of gerund, the discription of simultaneity, displays a specialty within the Spanish language. Spanish only knows two genders, masculine and feminine. Only a few words contain rests of the neuter.
